Honorees will be recognized at the Annual Awards Breakfast, sponsored by Polaris Properties, on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 8:00 to 10:00 am at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Tarrytown, NY. Tara Rosenblum of News 12 Westchester will be Master of Ceremonies.

SCARSDALE, NY (March 16, 2015) – The Child Care Council of Westchester - a nonprofit resource organization that works to ensure every child in Westchester has access to quality early care and education – announces the 2015 recipients of its Champions for Children Awards: Congresswoman Nita Lowey, Family Services of Westchester, and Sarah Lawrence College. Youth Ask Elected Officials Tough Questions at Annual Children’s Legislative Breakfast
SCARSDALE, NY (March 2, 2015) –The Child Care Council of Westchester and the Westchester Children’s Association hosted a “town hall” at the YMCA in White Plains on February 28th, where young people lead a Q&A with County Legislators Benjamin Boykin, Catherine Borgia, Michael Smith and Alfreda Williams. Also present were Assemblywoman Sandy Galef, Assemblywoman Shelley Mayer, Deputy County Executive Kevin Plunkett, and Regent Harry Phillips, along with an audience of approximately 100 educators, child care professionals, community and non-profit leaders, and parents.
Child Care Council of Westchester Board of Directors Announces Matching Campaign for #GivingTuesday
Asks donors to give on December 2 and share their support via social media
SCARSDALE, NY (October 21, 2014) – The Child Care Council of Westchester - a nonprofit resource organization that works to ensure every child in Westchester has access to quality early care and education – will once again participate in #GivingTuesday, a national movement designed to inspire people to support their local communities and create a better future. Taking place on December 2, 2014 to coincide with Thanksgiving and the start of the holiday shopping season, #GivingTuesday is a day of charitable giving, similar to how Black Friday and Cyber Monday have become synonymous with shopping. The Child Care Council’s Board of Directors announced at its September meeting that it will match all #GivingTuesday contributions, up to $2,500.
