Job Title: Teacher Assistant
Program Name: Yellow Acorn Montessori
Job Description: Yellow Acorn Montessori is looking for a teacher assistant who is responsible for assisting the classroom teacher in the general supervision and management of a classroom for children between the ages of 18 months and five years old. This program has a toddler program (18 months – 36 months) and a pre-school program (3 years – 5 years). Must have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, be able to relate well to children, and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the school’s educational philosophy. Additionally, to encourage the social, emotional, and cognitive development of the child by providing a comprehensive Montessori education, cultivating independent thought and foundational skills as well as awareness of their environment; empathy for others, and social ease and confidence.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Early Education required and with prior experience working in a child care program. CDA certification preferred.
