When you sign on to work with our Health Care Consultant, we walk you through the process of creating a useful, comprehensive plan with clear policies and procedures, and offer consistent support and training to ensure you meet best practice standards, protect children, and demonstrate to parents that their children’s health and safety is your top priority.

Our health experts also offer health-related programming to all of Westchester’s child care programs on important subjects including allergies, asthma, childhood immunizations, and more.

The Council encourages all child care providers to become approved through the New York State Office of Children and Family Services to administer all medications to children in a child care setting. To do so, you will need to compete a Medication Administration Training (MAT) Course, among other things. Learn about MAT training (Link to PDF).
