Eric Pasinkoff joins our Board
We're so pleased to welcome Eric Pasinkoff to our Board of Directors!
We met Eric through the Volunteer New York! Nonprofit Board Speed Dating event, where we were struck immediately by his commitment to children, knowledge of the Council, and passion for sharing the critical importance of quality early care and education.
His Manhattan-based civil practice, the Law Offices of Eric Michael Pasinkoff, caters to individuals and privately-held businesses; clients include real estate entrepreneurs, retail stores, restaurants, construction companies, internet marketers, medical professionals, accountants, architects, and nonprofit organizations, among others.
A long-time resident of Armonk, Eric has over 30 years’ experience in general civil practice with a concentration in real estate, trusts and estates, commercial and corporate law and litigation, and has been engaged in his own practice since 1985. He is admitted to practice in the New York State courts, the federal courts for the Southern District and Eastern Districts of New York, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and United States Tax Court. He is a member of the New York County Lawyers Association and the New York State Bar Association, where he is in the Trusts and Estates Section. He has also acted as court appointed arbitrator in the New York City Civil Court and Nassau District Court.
Eric graduated from Stony Brook University where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and from the Boston University School of Law. He has an LL.M in taxation from New York University School of Law. He has volunteered and donated his time and services as a member and Board member of Kiwanis Club of Astoria-LIC, Byram Hills School Board Nominating Committee and Sharp Again Naturally, and has initiated his own project to help the children of Rwanda.

"Calls for Kids" Program 2017
The Child Care Council of Westchester is launching a new "Advocacy on the Go" campaign to tap the power of Westchester parents to improve child care access, quality and affordability - starting with "Calls for Kids" in November. Teams of Council staff, Board members, and volunteers will visit child care and after school programs all ofver Westchester to encourage parents to call their County leaders and ask them to increase child care funding. These "Calls for Kids" will be made on the spot as parents arrive to pick up their children at the end of the day.
2018 Joey Award Nominations
This coming year, the Child Care Council will be celebrating it's 50th Anniversary. Each year since 1988, the Council recognizes exceptional individuals caring for and teaching our children in early care and education programs, selected from nominations by parents and colleagues.
Over 160 individuals have been awarded during our Annual Awards Breakfast, adn we would like to keep the tradition alive by asking you to nominate one individual who has made outstanding contributions to child care and quality of life for children and working parents.
